No Hardee's or Arby's around here (BK only) - I miss them in IL. The NY'er goes out at least once a month, to the bank and then to the mall and Pet Smart. Once or twice a month to work (six miles down the road), weekend errands and regular fill ups at Shell. At Randhurst mall this weekend.

This photo also does a good job depicting how far our automotive society has fallen in 50 years.
Out a few minutes ago with the wife, drove uptown to pick up some steaks and other groceries.
Also have been driving my daughters to middle school in the morning. They've told me that their male classmates have been talking about the "cool car" that they get dropped off in. It's interesting to think that those boys may grow up to be slightly influenced by it.
