I'm going to post this in the General Discussion, and later once all the details have been worked out and a flyer has been created, another thread will be posted in the Car Show/Events section with the event flyer and additional information.

The past month I've been in contact with the Illinois Railway Museum (IRM), working out details and having discussions with them to have our 5th Annual C Body Show on their premises. They have been great to work with so far, and genuinely appear to want to have us there.

As mentioned above, the date is not set, but will it be held in June.
We will have designated parking within the museum grounds near the train depot, which will also give a nice backdrop for pictures. (see map)
The IRM has many buildings on their property, consisting of trains, streetcars, trolleys and other types of vehicles as well as other things to do that would appeal to just about anyone.
They also have operational train rides on their own private 4 mile track that anyone can take.
During the month of June, they will be operating the steam locomotives on the track.

Last year we saw too many car shows cancelled due to the pandemic. Even our 4th annual C Body Show had some fallout. But hey, that's in the past now.
Lets make 2021 the best C Body Show for everyone to enjoy.
Here's a link and a map for the Illinois Railway Museum:

Tim, you outdo yourself every year. I.R.M. is a fantastic place, there is a lot of old equipment from C.T.A. rail, plus you can ride on them when in service. Count me in, but try to make it a few weeks before Carlisle.

Great news that the 5th Meet is on, and the location is the cherry on the cake. Count me in!

30 minutes is nothing. I would say a long drive is like the one we did last year to Carlisle.:steering:

Keeping track of this one. 8 hours 30 minutes.
I have to work around Midwest Mopars in the Park (or not) and my daughters graduation party (Late May/ Early June, I have no say in this one)

Dammit!!! Means I will have to get up about ten minutes earlier to get there....
Gawd.. Hope my car can make it that far..... :mob:

Considering who put the PS pump and motor mounts in your car...I'm surprised its still on the road.

Tim, what an awesome place to have our meet. It is perfect as they have a cafe open on the weekends for food and you can ride trains and trolley cars around the museum grounds when you need a break from looking at the cars. Count me in.

11 hours :( but that sounds like a great location. I’ve done crazier things! I would like to think my Fury is running by then but who knows!?

Ah, c'mon, let that car stretch those legs! :poke:

I'd love to see more long distance treks to this show. Tim puts on a Grade A show for a regular working man, and it's always a very relaxing day, perfect after the drive from southern Minnesota (400mi).

We could make this a big show, all you need to do is drive, and isn't that what these cars are made for?
