In 2017, our inaugural C Body Show at Volo caught the attention of a few, enough to make than want to be a part of this new gathering, dedicated to C Body Mopars. Although the initial turn out was small, with 7 cars in attendance, it was the foundation to the start of a new tradition to have an annual show.

Year 2, the attendance grew 3 fold to 22 cars. Many of which, with even being somewhat local, I have never seen at other car shows.
Maybe the people who never brought their C body to a show began to think that there were other people who enjoyed these cars.
As stressed from the start, attendance was never limited to trailer queen cars, and that all C bodies were welcome to attend.
It was always about the people. Our rides are just a by-product of a common behavior anyway.

When year 3 rolled around, it turned out to be the largest even to date, with 28 cars & wagons pulling up onto the grassy mound.
There were at least another 20 cars registered, but the weather that weekend was very iffy, but we lucked out with another day sunshine.
What an event it was, not just due to the number of people & cars that attended the 3rd show, but by seeing so many different years and models/makes of C bodies that participated. We even had a famous car in attendance from a land far far away.

Year 4 was like a roller coaster with the covid-19 pandemic forcing many car show to be delayed, of cancelled entirely.
Even having our 4th show with the new location at Randall Oaks Park was questionable. Having to change event dates from June to August and the ongoing pandemic fears, resulted in a smaller turn out for 2020.
Even with the smaller showing, there were a bunch a new people who arrived for the show with their cars that had not previously attended. The vehicles that made it last year reached 18.

As most people on here already know, I am planning to announce the 5th Annual C Body Mopars show soon, with the venue being held at the Illinois Railway Museum in June. (date T.B.D.)
In addition, by keeping this thread alive, and showing some pictures of past events and attendance, it will hopefully draw enough interest to have attendees of the past shows to return, and so that potential new comers who may want to join us can get an idea of what to expect.
The museum folks mentioned the primary parking area where the cars are to be parked can easily accommodate up to 50 cars. But further mentioned if our attendance grows to over 50 cars, they will have already made additional parking available if needed.
I would really like to see us surpass 50 cars for 2021.
I expect to have the date of the show nailed down early next week, and will then post the flyer I have already prepared with a registration link in the FCBO Events Section.
