I am with 65sporty on this .. from this aspect.
We've all been to car shows. If you have done one in some "urban" settings, if you have probably seen slabbies/fusies/formals tooling around on 20's (beyond that they really do NOT appeal to me at all). TO ME, some of these cars look really kinda cool.
In person, or rolling around on the street, they grab your attention. And a significant portion of aficionados LOVE cars done like this -- and it isn't just kids but grizzled old men like me too.
At a show, always a debate among the "donkers" and the "purists". Mostly good-natured, fun ribbing .. but sometimes like Parliament arguing Brexit. Stand back before somebody pulls out a nine and busts a cap.

First, some of these folks have taken really good care of a C-body. Straight bodies, 20 coats of paint, good detailing, etc. ... I rarely see them and then go puke up my lunch. I admire what they did, even tho I wouldnt do such a thing - ever.
Second, I aint/never would rag on/lecturing anybody who absolutely cant stand anything but OEM wheels/tires .. again, as we seem to mostly all agree here in this thread "its your car, your money".
But, what all these sleds have in common is they all tried, as long as they didn't butcher it irrevocably, to save another beloved C from wretched ignominy.

Now this one (its here about 1,000 posts ago)? tho my deep admiration cannot be mustered up, it would turn my head if i saw it go by because of what it is vs. whatever its running on. I'd be sizing it up to see it could be restored to "normal"
But I am sure somebody digs it and would drive the hell out of it. I am just glad somebody saved it.
