I Talked at length to Jeff the owner of the gold Custom Suburban on Thursday at the kickoff party he has owned the car for 11 yrs and has displayed it in the survivors tent a couple times has only like 33,000 original miles. still can see factory chalk marks under the hood. under the the data plate was another plate about the size of a postage stamp with just the number 8 on it painted the same gold color.i recall reading on here that that it was some type of after production thing. anyone can enlighten me.Carlisle2015 009.jpgCarlisle2015 002.jpg

I think it's just a tag that inspectors would punch as they signed off on the car as it went down the line. Not even sure that it was supposed to still be attached after the car was finished and the numbers don't mean anything to us, they're just the inspectors number.

lol, those side panels looked so cool, but then we saw the sign, "Do Not Touch!". The small print said "aw, go ahead you know you want to". I liked the accessories.

if anyone is interested I was interviewed by Dale Jewett of Fiat-Chrysler on Thursday night at the kickoff cruise. go to FCA facebook page and look for his interview.

from a short distance they looked like they were actually satin applied to the car. but upon closer inspection they were painted on then cleared. neat effect and a lot of tedious work
