I think it's just a tag that inspectors would punch as they signed off on the car as it went down the line. Not even sure that it was supposed to still be attached after the car was finished and the numbers don't mean anything to us, they're just the inspectors number.under the the data plate was another plate about the size of a postage stamp with just the number 8 on it painted the same gold color.i recall reading on here that that it was some type of after production thing. anyone can enlighten me.

from a short distance they looked like they were actually satin applied to the car. but upon closer inspection they were painted on then cleared. neat effect and a lot of tedious work
