Carlisle Chrysler Nationals July 13 - 15, 2018

Hey Fella's,

If you have never been to the biggest and best Mopar show on the planet. You have to go at least once in your lifetime. Chryslers at Carlisle is from 13-15 July, 2018.

There are 3 days left for the 10% discount on the Gate-N-go tickets. That gets your C-Body on the showfield and a spot on the legendary C-Body line. That ticket also is your pass for yourself plus one guest for the entire show. Don't forget.....June 11th is the deadline for the Gate-N-Go ticket.

See you tbere!!!

The "Gate-N-Go" tickets are the way to go. They send you the sticker for the windshield and you put it on before you get there. Just roll up to the gate and they wave you in. Simple as can be.

Sure beats paying to park outside of the fairgrounds and then walking in.....

Well I've had to bail again.

My best friend that I go with every year had a near fatal accident on Dec 15 and while his recovery has been nothing short of remarkable, he has come to the conclusion he won't be ready for all the walking.

He broke his pelvis in about 5 places and 2 or 3 vertebra. He's self propelled again with a cane but runs out of gas pretty quick.

My wife and I were going to go ourselves but she had a hip replaced in Feb and she's having a slow go at the rehab too. With my buddy and his wife not going, she was less than enthusiastic about attending given her own mobility issues.

In the meantime the company I'm leased to won 3 wind turbine project contracts so I'm actually going to make some $$$ this summer hauling blades from Thunder Bay to Tumbler Ridge BC.

Next year I guess. I've already booked the B&B.

Sorry to hear you won't be there.

Dag that's one hell of a Cessna prop.

BTW, for anyone who needs mobility help, put the pride on the shelf and get the scooter. I know one day that will include me... I can't see skipping something I enjoy so much just because I can't handle the walking. Heck, I thought I was going to be there last year when I blew out my back right before the show started.

I'm probably going to have to scooter Carlisle and race Jer this year.

Twostick... and BOB. Now you know why they have 'bout 5 DOZEN battery powered scooterz FOR RENT at gate 3. Not cheap but when you're old the legz are not the 1st thing to go. If my transport vehicle allowz it I BYO mine from home. If not I'll pop the $85 per day for Friday and Saturday. This year how ever my new Bionic Shoulder prevents me from even driving the 550 each way to share the ST PAULI WITH MY CAR-BUDZ soooo? Just a thought but my solution. MISS ALL YOU S.O.B.Z all ready and it'z still a month away, Jer

This project is pretty much nonstop run till you're out of hours, reset, rinse repeat. If I found myself in Thunder Bay on the Friday out of hours, I considered flying in to Harrisburg that afternoon and back Sunday but that's pretty hectic.

That blade is 130' long, 150' overall length with about 30' of rear overhang. It's on a Nooteboom self steering extendable trailer. Trailer is opened up to 100'

The blade I'm waiting on permits for is 170' long, 200' overall with about the same overhang. Trailer is opened all the way, about 150'.

Need a golf cart to do my circle check. Lol.

They just going to a lay down yard at the bottom of the mountain but they will eventually have to traverse this goat trail. If you zoom in across that valley you can see a crane boom in the distance where one of the towers will be erected. Phone cameras don't do the terrain justice. That hill is probably 16% +/-.

I'd be tempted to dog track it just a little for the true Azzoles in traffic...
