Carlisle Chrysler Nationals July 13 - 15, 2018

Plan to attend fri and sat next year. One day just wasn’t enough to cover the vendor/swap field.

I will just be passing through this year ...two days and maybe no car on the field

Well, I was not expecting that...

Im gonna put in for the time off this week. Planning on being there, but things can change.

I’d love to find a pop up, and stay on the grounds, but dont see it happening. Not sure which car/truck is going. Lots of variables. Hotel we stayed in this year was nice, but the toll road kinda sucked..

Toll road to the fairgrounds?

There's a back way that avoids most of the traffic and the highway.

I never looked that far into it.. just went by the gps. Wasnt bad for the few times we had to drive it, but im hoping to come up earlier, and stay as long as possible this time.

Yea, I really don't notice the toll roads because I breeze through the EZ-Pass lanes and that's one thing PA does right... they have fast toll lanes.

But... I go around to avoid the traffic standstill getting off the highway.

Go to goggle maps and type in "Carlisle Fairgrounds" and "Comfort Inn Mechanicsburg" and get directions. They give three options. Rt 641 works out nice. It dumps you out on Rt 11 at a traffic light. Some traffic from there, but not any big deal.

It's a nicer drive in the PA country side too.

:thankyou: They each have their favorites and do not like when I talk about selling off
None of us like the idea of you selling out... :poke:

Maybe one or two folks circling like vultures JIC you pull the trigger...

That was my primary problem the last couple of years... too much to keep me in the fairgrounds till after dark, and too many reasons to want to return early. The motel room was really just a waste of $$$ for me... the fairgrounds have good facilities (by my standards), the only thing I will be missing is a decent internet connection.

The big price deal is for the cost of the swap space, I get a week of camping. Allowed in Monday... gotta go Monday... How do you beat that?

That's not what he said . I refuse to use EZ pass as many do. The turnpike owners deliberately run the cash lanes slow and under manned to entice people to use e z pass .

The turnpike bridge has no toll booths . You go across that bridge without the e z pass, they send you a bill regardless ( from what I understand) .

Most EZ pass toll rolls are a breeze, not just PA.
