Carlisle Chrysler Nationals July 13 - 15, 2018

That's not what he said . I refuse to use EZ pass as many do. The turnpike owners deliberately run the cash lanes slow and under manned to entice people to use e z pass .

The turnpike bridge has no toll booths . You go across that bridge without the e z pass, they send you a bill regardless ( from what I understand) .

Most EZ pass toll rolls are a breeze, not just PA.

Why not use EZ pass? Do you know something about EZ pass that the rest of us don't know?

Three days is not enough
I don't bother walking the rows of LX cars and Rams. I'll check out the "E" bodies if time allows. I'll spend most of the time in the vendor field, car corral then head over to this tent behind a couple Polaras.

No Bob, not taking the bait.

I don't do self check out either

Just trying to understand why....

Is it big brother knowing your location?

If you have a cell phone you're pinging off of cell towers and big brother knows where you are at all times.

Even if you go through the cash lanes big brother scans your license plates so he knows you are there anyways.....

Self checkout or going through a sales cashier....most places have you on camera anyways.

Another reason for you to move west Dave. No tolls!

Regarding the EZ-Pass.. It's been a while since I used the PA turnpike in that area. I was thinking that you had to change to RT 81 and there was an "Express" EZ-Pass lane that takes you around the toll booths at 55MPH.

I was obviously mistaken. The turnpike drops you off on RT 11 to get to the fairgrounds from that hotel.

You would have to go through the toll booth to get on and a toll booth to get off. Both would be easier with the EZ-Pass, and I stand by that. I've been using one for 20 years now. Big Brother hasn't come to my door, I haven't gotten a ticket because of it etc. I have saved a ton of time, especially when I used the NYS Thruway for my commute to work when I first got the EZ-Pass. I also don't have to dig for change, put up with rude toll collectors or roll down my window when it's 15 below zero.

It's a moot point anyway because I gave a good alternative to the turnpike.

Ive gotten bills in the mail because my car isnt on the EZ pass card for my daughter .... ive also been on the Northeast extension and got pushed into the EZ lanes with bad signage .

They do not have fast toll lanes.
They do in other areas. I was mistaken that you would encounter one in the trip from the hotel.

I offer proof. Not my video, start watching at about ~40 secs.

PA sucks to drive in... I will give you that. The signage sucks everywhere in PA and the PennDot is a huge joke.

The EZ-Pass system takes a picture of your plate and the EZ-Pass and randomly it cross matches the two. I just have all my cars listed on the EZ-Pass.

I understand how it works. I want no part of it .....moving on

I don't do self check out at the food store .

I won't go to one of those cook it yourself restaurants .

I do self check out once in a while at Lowes when I have a couple items. It's usually more of a PITA than it's worth and I will always go to a person first if possible. I refuse to do it at a food store or when I have a lot of stuff.

Cook yourself restaurants make no sense. If I wanted a meal I cooked myself, I would stay home.

On those items, we are in agreement.

Not being a "pass though state" Michigan has no toll roads. We have a toll for what? Three bridges and a tunnel. That's it. Every few years someone brings up adding toll roads to pay for roads and repair but it isn't going anywhere. Supposedly gas taxes go to road repair but you wouldn't know it driving our roads. (Rant over)

I get on RT 81 near home, but I do part of the turnpike on the way down. It bypasses RT 81 around the crazy Scranton area. Two lanes with a Jersey barrier. No cars though... I can fly through there.

Then back on Rt 81.
