Hey...... I just received an Email from Expedia with a 40% off hotel prices. I looked it up for the Carlisle trip and saved $110 for the 2 nights I'm staying. Hampton Inn reservations I had were $130 a night and Red Roof Inn that I just reserved was $75 a night. Of course Hampton Inn is a better hotel but I'm only using it to Sh*t, Shower, and Shave and take a nap. Thought it may help a few people save a couple of bucks.

I just reserved at Super 8 north Carlisle yesterday.

you'll be lulled asleep by the traffic too Matt.

Well, at least you guys didn't go to the Rodeway Inn.......hookers and drug dealers there, they scatter like roaches when the cops pull in.

I've been to to the Red Roof Inn in Chambersburg before. No trouble, clean, safe, and most of the people there were attending the show.

I like the comfort inn at Harrisburg pike and 81. Not the cheapest maybe but no lot lizzards either! Two way to get around the traffic to gate 3. From 81 to the south and thru' the boonies from the north. My question is has anyone found a restarant within striking distance that knows how to burn a steak and where the waitress won't respond RED ER' WHILE when you ask her for a glass of cabernet, AAARRRGGGHHHH! I'd bring my own including the cork screw if they'd let me and then give me a jelly glass to put it in, Jer

Isn't Hoss' pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday night during the show?

The a.c. will take care of that I'm sure, that or my girlfriend breathing softly into my ear...

Everything's crowded there on Friday and Saturday night and if its not there's likely a reason.

Yeah it is 1978NYB, but I've never stood in that line more then 15 minutes. Oh and Polara71, I'm not in withdrawals either but a cool glass of Cab sure cuts the tallow off the tongue between bits

what I meant is, I dont drink, so Hoss's is good with me..

Yes, there is always a line from 4 to 8 on Friday and Saturday. Sometimes we'll leave at 3 or 4, go to dinner and head back to the fairgrounds

I'm pretty much done when I leave the show........I normally order something and have it delivered to the room. Pizza or something simple.

I havent found much good there. Dominos is about the best thing delivered.....cant do that for four nights

I'm there for 2 nights and 3 days. That's plenty of show for me.

I usually have pizza one night and ask the front desk who has the best local pizza. They usually have a menu at the front desk. It's normally pretty good and delivered in 30-40 minutes which is good enough for me. I don't like Domino's, Pizza Hut, etc. Second night is up for the spur of the moment.

I am not fond of Dominos either, thats the point. It seems to be the best there is. I had a huge bad experience with a local pizza shop last year while at the Motel Carlisle.......... I was close to going to jail, or the morgue I'm not sure

Rillo's has a great 12 oz NY strip.......best place to eat in this area, IMO
