Oh boy be carefull Gary.
Sounds like you got the good stuff. Please keep us posted .this stuff is toxic! I worked out real fast the fumes given off were MEK which is a cancer causing agent so I recommend using gloves, respirator and goggles!
If I can find gas.....Okay I had to buy a second quart of the redkote, it didn't quite go far enough, so with that now also done I put the tank on the roof of my carport in the sun all day and it is dry. I also fitted the interior back into the car and then this evening put the tank back in as well as temporarily fitting the new gas sender unit. I will put some gas in the car and start adjusting the float to get it to read right. That will happen tomorrow. Then I plan on giving it a kick in the guts and see how it runs. Bob plans to come around Saturday so hopefully everything will be buttoned up by then. I will have more pics then too.
LOL yea I hear ya. I wish I could leave it till Gary was done. I need to go visit & Give Gary some money anyway. The gas station just the street ran out of gas today.see bob if you were my neighbor , you'd be looking for shade , not cover . dropped a few , but it was only enough to spot up the dust , lol . aw yes sunny california , lol ;)
Ran out of gas? That's weird, I read i the news that the refineries in Houston were up and running again.see bob if you were my neighbor , you'd be looking for shade , not cover . dropped a few , but it was only enough to spot up the dust , lol . aw yes sunny california , lol ;)
Of course they are up and running so we can all expect the price of gas to normalise immediately .Ran out of gas? That's weird, I read i the news that the refineries in Houston were up and running again.
They had a pipe line that got damaged by Harvey. Had to shut it down. Said on news it supplied NC. That plus folks panicking a bit. I'm going out tomorrow to stock up. I'll try to get all I need to last a week or so. I've been through 4 of these. 2 of them I lost power for a week.Ran out of gas? I've got family in Apocka area. They say they are going to hunker down & ride it out.Gary and Bob... both of you guys be safe, you're both getting whatever's left of the storm.
They're close enough, they'll have something similar to me.I've got family in Apocka area. They say they are going to hunker down & ride it out.
You staying put as well ?They're close enough, they'll have something similar to me.
Bob, there is literally no where to go. I would have grabbed a room or two somewhere within a day's drive if I believed it would have working cable and an ice machine... that's done. Now all folks can and are doing is packing up and I imagine camping in the rest area''s and walmart parking lots. You staying put as well ?
Good luck. Man I hope it moves away & fizzles outBob, there is literally no where to go. We aren't on the coast, and have an almost nonexistent flood threat at the house, whatever the wind and rain do is not likely to be life threatening itself. The time afterwards may be interesting.
I'm debating seeing if the local Moose lodge is having a ride the storm out event. They lost their roof to Charley in 04... they might not feel so secure doing that again.
