Lets see some pics!!! is that a 2 door? looks in great shape!Nice!
How about some interior pictures.
Just got back from my trip out West where I bought the 61 Polara coupe ive been after for the last 5 years!
She needs a trunk floor and some front floor pans .....seats .....some exterior work ......and an engine rebuild but hey still a great find!

After spending three days pulling seats and carpet out to see what panels I need to buy I washed and waxed the car to see
how it would look ....I have to say if the body was perfect I would leave the patina as it was soooo nice! but as I have
exterior metalwork to do so it will be black again ....eventually.
Had a right game with the rear left drum .....it was stuck! ...I adjusted the rear adjuster inward but the forward rear adjuster
was already rounded and wouldn't turn .....kreoil blasted into the back of the drum eventually got it moving so it can at least roll
for shipping ....anyone got a spare adjuster out there?
I found this company on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/141732093527?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
they do front floor pans and trunk pan .....has anybody used them?
picked up a front bumper from dvap and a set of tyres from discount tyres ....don't worry the rims are temporary, the original
rims were pretty rusty from sitting and wouldn't hold air.
I stowed the tail lights in the trunk to save them getting bumped in shipping ....had a stroke of luck in a junk yard 'Country Auto'
near 'Dwights' in Sigeurd where I came across a '60 Dart, the dash had a perfect speaker grill (metal) which I looked at and thought
hmmmm if that fits the 61 its a great find! .....next day I swept up the crumbled plastic speaker grill from the 61 and tadaaaaaa!!
the metal one from the 60 drops in perfect! ......well it will when I cut off the metal tabs as they locate in a different place on the '60
.........why go plastic in 61 I ask?
I'm sure to bug you guys some more on this 61 as I haven't had a forward looker before ....but who could resist!
Will keep you guys up to date as and when .....cheers for any feedback - Kevin

Buy a 62 880 or Newport/300 4 door donor car for floor and trunk panels. Do a search they are out there. Trust me thats what I did for my 62 880 2dr im getting to redo. I payed 1000 for the car no engine or trans. But to me thats nothing when you start figuring bead rollers, metal your time or having somebody make it. A lot cheaper in the long run. Here is a pic of my car. Goes in for trunk pan in a few more weeks (HOPEFULLY). I may not need the floor pans out of donor car. From what we can tell my originals look very solid. I will post when I find out for sure. If I don't need to replace I will let you know. If you want I will sale them to you if you need.Just got back from my trip out West where I bought the 61 Polara coupe ive been after for the last 5 years!

No problem. Im not so sure bringing in donor car wouldn't be a bad idea. I got a guy from Germany who lives here in the states. He sales and exports classic US cars and parts to Europe. In fact thats who I got my donor 880 car from. I will get his email address from him when I go pick the donor. He sales on Ebay. I will let you know on that soon.Hi Brin thanks for getting in touch, I did find a 4dr donor car for my trunk pans and floor but I got beaten to it when it came to buy, its getting the trunk to England which is a bummer! ....I could import another car and use it as a courier, otherwise it could well be a bead roller and some head scratching! let me know if you end up with any surplus parts as there might be something I need if you want to sell stuff - cheers Kevin
Well its been a long wait since I found this sweet 61 back in 2010 but I finally got to pick it up from the docks just the other day ....this is the sight that greats me when I walk in my garage at home! .......I shall be spending countless hours down there from now on! .....living the dream!!
