Cool "Car Art" Illustrations

This is a 1937 Cadillac Series 60 V-8. $1,555 in today's money is about $30K so yeah, probably a "cheap" Caddie relative to other Caddies.

However, the average price a new US car in 1937 was $750 -- so this Caddie was still pricey back then, 2X the average sled so you still needed to have plenty of lettuce for one..

The average US car today is about $40K, ad the average Caddie is about $50K today.

1960 De Soto.

I think this is an illustration .. not quite "crisp" enough to be a photo.

BTW, looks like a "45 rpm record changer" was an option in 1960 .. first do not I recall ever hearing of/seeing such a thing. That De Soto musta been a smooth riding rig.

1963 Thurnderbird -- bit of a headscratcher.

Exotic locale, well dressed people, fancy sled, etc.... but how did this situation even happen? :)

Exotics, dressing well and fancy sleds set you apart. They create a privately-owned island around you. (Just an interpretation)
