I've had it since 2012, I got it shortly after I got the converible, I have used it a million times and it has lived out in the rain/snow/mud, I actually just bolted it down for the first time since I've had it last week.

I use it all the time and would recommend one for anyone who enjoys sheet metal work.

Anywho....

Worth looking back through 5 or 6 pages of this so far... Nick, you've done some amazing work there. I can't imagine there would have been many others willing to save Dennis once they saw how little was there to work with...:thankyou:

Very nice work sir! I'm impressed. This is an exercise in patience.

It looks like there's still some well-entrenched surface rust on the sheet metal before it's getting primed. Unless this is a temporary prime coat, I'd recommend blasting them thoroughly and treating with phosphoric acid based etch, then epoxy primer. Rust always come back, I learned that the hard way!

The car has a special place in my heart.

It was the first classic car I was able to rescue and put some miles on.

Its all been treated with a rust converter. Hense it's grey hue.

Then top coated with self etch, and finally a coat of epoxy.

Once painted, rust will never read its head again.

I figure it took 45 years of neglect and winter driving to cause this. Those are things the car will never have to worry about again.

Nick
