Dennis. That's his name.

That's driver quality? I gotta step up my game.
That's what the car was meant to be, I'm trying to hold to that.... But I'm also a perfectionist by virtue...

Busy day at work, before leaving I did get the calipers down to bare metal and primed though, as soon as I get in to work in the morning I will shoot them in a coat of paint.

I enjoy seeing the quality of work that you and other members here put into their projects, makes me push myself to do better with my car.

I painted the calipers first thing around 7 when I first got in. Probably good thing I did as I've been non stop all day. In fact I'm just stopping for lunch now (3:30 pm here)...

I have been picking my way forward.

Cleaning up and painting parts, dragging stuff to work for when it slows down here soon...

Parts have been arriving too which is certainly not a bad thing...

It was a condition of me coming to work there, I'm gonna make you money, km not stupid I'm only getting 1/3rd of What I make you per unit, so in between, I'm going to work on my stuff so I get some benefit from this also....

Compared to who I replaced, my boss is very happy, considering he averaged 4 units or less per day, and I average 8-10, with a few days where I've done 16+

I'm tied with the top tech for units this pay cycle.

Picked away at the trans yesterday, new mount, coat of paint, new Reverse neutral switch, checked to make sure no crap got in it since it was rebuilt in 2017.

I got my parts guy to find me the switch, he worked for many Chrysler dealers from the time he came to Canada from South Africa in 1972, he was happy to find it for me as it brought back memories.

Today was a short day where my off time was scattered as I tried to put some stuff together for customers..... But I did strip and prime a ton of small parts so I can paint them this week...

It's the small stuff that's the killer..

My plan is that I'm off till the 30th and I want to get the floors and other bodymount dealt with so I can finish the firewall and get it in colour.

I originally was going to complete the stub then assemble it to the car, but prior to do that I think I want to test fit it first before I start Welding things in, I'm hoping if my measurements are correct, everything will true and square.... We will see...

What I noticed while kneeling working on a heater core, was that the right axle tube was bent.... How I never noticed that....

So...... I needed a replacement, today being my day off, I took a ride up to National Moparts to see Nigel. After some digging around the back of the yard I found a 73 Imperial carrier, I measured it and the over all width from flange to flange was correct. I think I may need to move the perches a 1/4" or so, but no biggie. Found a mint 73 grille also..

Over the last two days at work I've picked away at the housing. I started by checking the two and found they appear to be the exact same.

I then stripped it to bare metal, cut the brake line retaining clips off the other housing, welded them on this one, epoxied it, and finally gave it a couple coats of 60 degree gloss black....

It will do....
