Does your MOPAR have a name, and if so, what and why?

My 81 Dodge D150, I named her "Ole Dodger", after the movie THE SHOOTIST, starring Jimmy Stewart, Lauren Bacall, Ron Howard and of course John Wayne, who called his horse "Ole Dollar"and oh ya the black gentleman who ran the stable turned out to be the world's best haggler.

I'm not opposed to naming my Newport, or any of my vehicles. I just haven't been able to come up with a name for her. One of my buddies suggested "The Green Machine", because she's triple green. I didn't go with it though. One of the banks used to call all of their ATM's "Green Machines", because light green and dark green were that bank's colors. One reason I didn't go for it.

I have sort of named my truck. Sometimes I call it "Blackjack", mainly because she's painted black and my old plate used to have 777 on it. Three sevens are 21, or Blackjack. Not only that, she was always kind of lucky. :)

Gee, I'm feeling a bit left out here... I don't have a name for my car... help a brother out people!! I'm open to suggestions! :D

I looked at that shiny grille and the first word came into my mind was "Smiley".

I don't know why, but there it is...

I like your Mach 5 reference with your white car red interior. Even more subtle reference based on that, Trixie, Speed racer's girlfriend.

I like that name!
Mostly because every project i take on with Trixie costs me double of what I originally planned to spend!! LOL!!!

I named my 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury "Mopar Molly" after my grand daughters nickname, Molly. I hoping to have the interior completely redone within the next two months. I have most of the material, just waiting on completion of the 19 pcs. of interior chrome refinished. Gold on Black. Maybe having to sell her soon after though. First restoration project and it's a lot more than what I was thinking.

My 65 Sport Fury was first called "SexCruiser" back in the day (when it was a cruiser) but now it is simply "BadVert" as it is set up more for racing than cruising.

I also had a 74 roadrunner big block car that was lowered with huge tires all around that had a sinister Nascar vibe to it. That one was nicknamed the "DeathCruiser". I wish I still had pictures of that one.
My wife currently has a few (unkind) nicknames for my other cars.

That was a great film quite underrated :yaayy:

That's a sweet rig! You gonna have that at Mopars in the Park this year?

No, but I will be attending for the first time ever, and will be bringing my 70 Custom Suburban wagon. I keep the M715 at my cabin in WI about 3 hours from the show site and a 5,000+ pound vehicle with 5:87 gears, 8 miles to the gallon, and 60 mph top speed (full throttle @ unknown high rpm, 4th gear starts @ about 30 mph) it's not too practical. If I had a trailer to pull behind the wagon I would consider it (even then, I don't know how well a 318 with a 904 transmission would handle that load).

That will be cool to see the wagon. I'll have my Polara there on Saturday. The wagon have a name?

Yes, "Walter", as in "Walter White" from "Breaking bad". The wagon is white, and has personalized plates reading "YOMRWHT" (as in "Jesse" from the "Breaking Bad" series, saying "Yo, Mr. White". Mr. White was also my favorite character (played by Harvey Keitel) in the movie "Reservoir Dogs". One of my Daughter's swim team members Dad has a survivor white 68 Polara that was his parents, but it just sits on a lift in his garage and he only drives it a couple of times a year. I look forward to seeing your Mopar too.

That old gentleman was Scatman Crothers and there was Sheree north, Harry Morgan, Richard Boone, and John Carradine among others. Carradine was in another of my fav Duke films .. Stagecoach

The Duke also took along a sack of, and talked about corn dodgers in True Grit

That was a great film quite underrated :yaayy:

Yes I agree and forgotten or not even know by so many. It's in my top 5 John Wayne westerns .. I may watch it again this weekend.

Darn. There's that body side trim on a 69 300 again. There's no mention in any sales brochure, the data book or the parts catalog about that side trim being avaliable on a 69 300. I had a parts car that had it and have seen perhaps three others ......... :dontknow:
Any chance of seeing a picture of the data tag from that car......?
