I was thinking of buying a Dynamat kit for insulation in the car and I saw Ultramat product which is far cheaper, while it is not as efficient as Dynamat, you could double up the thickness of Ultramat to boost its effectiveness. I can buy 60sq feet of Ultramat for $11, while Dynamat is far more expensive at $145 for 36sq feet. The old jute insulation back in the day is probably comparative to the Ultramat. Doesn't do a bad job really.
What are other peoples thoughts?

I've used Fat Mat Rattle Trap for about $110 for 50 Sq ft. Seems to do the job, my car is a lot quieter.

Did that replace the factory jute padding or in addition to it?

Was it thick enough to compromise how the carpet fit?

I jut bought this while it is on special since it is an Eastwood product and it comes with a video on the page showing application. Looks to be top notch stuff to use for the floor. Plus currently at $70 at 35sq feet it wont break the budget. Special ends tonight midnight.

X-MAT® Sound Deadening 18x31 inches 34.8 sq ft

I will buy some of the cheap stuff t $11 and compare it , I will let everyone know what its like. It may be useful for using in the doors, roof etc.

Doors and roof. Only a strip or two to change the resonant frequency of the panel, not total coverage, as with the floors. Reason? Possible hail repair or collision damage, especially of a new door skin is not available. Just some thoughts.
