Greetings C body fans...i saw this big beautiful machine recently in the Eagle Rock section of LA...anybody know the correct year...by the s of the road wheels, i’m guessing 1970

I only took two pics that day...i was getting some pastrami carryout at a place called "Oinkster's"
Next time I go back, i'll see if it's parked outside the restaraunt...maybe someone who works there or lives in an adjacent house.
I shoulda got shots of the tail lights & leather interior too.

Maybe the big cone road wheels aren't original?
Seems like a pimp-mobile like this would've had spokes ala Superfly!

Well, take the normal W23s and their black painted edges and paint them shinier silver so no ring is needed. Considering that the W23s on my '70 DH43 seemed to be notorious for getting loose and rattling, the AMC centers were probably less expensive to find and look pretty much the same, could be the reason for their being there. Just something to consider.

Looks like the rear window area needs some "vinyl roof-related" attention. Still, a pretty nice car to see around. Makes me smile to see one that nice and possibly untouched!

Enjoy!

I bet that's 73Coupe's car. His avatar shows a yellow '73 Chrysler with no trim rings on the road wheels and he is in CA.

Those are 79 Chrysler 300 Aluminum road wheels without the trim ring and different (AMC?) centre domes.

They look great on it!

I can't go anywhere these days without being unmasked, haha... but to be expected when the car gets around.

I was at the Oinkster too on 11/8/20, meeting a friend while passing through. I noticed someone by my car taking photos as I waited for my burger, LOL!

I might be back in Eagle Rock in a couple weeks...

As for the vinyl top...still waiting: SMS lead time

Thought so.

Me too. I placed my SMS order in the third week of December: I have received the black vinyl roll for the seats, but am still waiting for the complete vinyl top and headliner for Buttercup, my yellow 1972 NYB 2dr. I was told "two months' wait time" by the person who took my order, so (taking the holidays into account) I should get the items in a couple of weeks. If not, then I'll go to my plan B and order just the top material: I need mine done in March-April and another member is interested in the finished gold vinyl top that I ordered (for his own 1972 Chrysler 2dr with V1Y top).

Luv the pic of the big sculpted hood headin back up to San Louie O...one of the most beautiful parts of the state IMO. Looked at the date on my iphone & yep...pic was taken last Nov 8...now wish i would've struck up a conversaion w/you at The Oinkster...although it's awkward w/everyone wearing facemasks in Cali. I was trying to take those pics in stealth mode...guess it's a good thing i didn't become a detective, everyone would notice what I was doing!
Don't blame you for parking on the street when possible...too many nitwits will door ding you & not even care...no wonder yer New Yorker sheet metal looks so straight.

Awesome looking car! Best looking 1973 New Yorker I've seen. Combination of great find and great care.

You should go eat at The Tam O’Shanter.
It’s on Los Feliz, just east of I-5. Excellent Toad in the hole... Been there for a long time.
