Engine bays of the classics

Taken this summer at Carlisle, Herb McCandless '61 300G, doesn't get much better for me.

my dad that a 55 eldo biarratz rag , had twin carbs and twin muffers , cad gold magnesium rims . he got it though a barter trade from a guy that wrecked it . the guy was going to pass the car ahead of him ,'' like it was standing still '', as the story goes . '' i floor'd it . got the speed up , was really moving '' as the tale was told . he's just about on top of the guy in the car ahead , '' when out of no were , fog set on the road , i could not see that car any more '' the fog cleared and he was almost on top of the cars rear bumper , so he hooked the car to the left and broad slid into the cars rear bumper , ahead of him , with the passanger side of that caddy . the other car ahead of him was traveling at 70 mph . he totaled both cars , the caddy owner drank a bit , lol .
