Just found the date code on my trans......9A15 (1969, Jan, 15th day). This is 7 weeks before the ship date listed on the order form - perfect timing. Supp the trans is stamped with the VIN last 6, I need to get under it for no other reason than to put my mind to rest.

the rear end was produced on Feb 3, 1969, a month before the car shipped.
Numbers are everything on this car, w/o it being matching #'s it is nothing worth giving a second glance to. It doe sound shallow but it is the same way with MOPARS, you guys know what a BB A or B body pulls when it has the correct 383 hp, 426 or 440. Not comparing value here just the interest generated by other members in the hobby.
