Frankenstein-Cucamonga

It's obviously all original paint so what parts could you be speaking of? Grille, taillights, bumpers? This thread is too cryptic.
Shot in the dark but I was right!

I've passed on many, never because of engine size. Usually because of color or other options.
Knowing your desires I find myself fortunfortunate that I own my blue car and yet puzzled on how you missed it the long time it was for sale

I didn't miss it Dave.

It was a nice car at a decent price.

I focussed on 70 Polaras as I never thought I would do what I did now.
Same reason why I didn't buy the black 71 Monaco 2dr HT which lives now in Finnland. Could have bought it twice.

Late for the party... Thanks for this interesting story/pics.

I'm glad you were able to make your fantasy into reality, Carsten. Good to have friends like Steve!

I swear that if I came into big money I would put the Imp in a container and come spend an entire cruising season visiting all you great guys and going to your European events.:eek:ccasion14:

71's are better.

I am in agreement with Wollfen and add I prefer the front on 71 as well... however I am grateful there are different models or we would all be restoring/driving the same thing.. maybe a different coloured thing :)

Personally, I like the Monacos best - the 69 has a really nice grille, the 70 has those spectacular back up lights (slits), and the 71 has the best bucket seat interior . The 72-3 Monaco has a strikingly unique front end. The only sensible thing to do was to get one of each! The only downside is that I now need to restore them all. I'm just grateful the 72 & 73 models were almost the same, so I just have a 73.
