I am going to put back together the frontend suspension and steering next weekend. The place where I have to do this is a bit faraway from my own carage so I have to plan this carefully to get it done at once PLUS I've never done this...

My plan is following:
1. Upper control arm
2. Lower control arm
3. Upper ball joint in place
4. Attach the lower ball joint and control arm
5. Attach the upper ball joint and the wheel back
6. Put the strud rods in place
7. Put the shocks in place
8. Tie rod into place
9. Idler arm
10. Pitman arm
11. Torsion bars
12. Wheels

Anything you would do in another order? Should I attach the upper ball joints to control arms before installing the control arm? How about attaching the lower control arm to ball joint already before hand?

Thanks for all comments,

JP

No real order, logic pretty much dictates that.

I’d put the upper ball joints in after the control arms are mounted just to give you leverage on tightening them down, this will also be easier once the spindles are in place.

Once it is all together double-check everything, take it in for your alignment and tell them you just put it together and have them look it all over.
