Heres a shot of my mom, little brother and I with the new 1953 Dodge Coronet .... Mom & Dads first NEW car.
The colors were light blue & dark blue ... check out the WWW's, caps with trim rings ad wheel lip moldings ..... Oh, and the bow ties .... We were styling.

Mom and Dad's first new car. Picture was taken in 1958, Queens NY. We were on our way back from England where Dad was stationed in the USAF. We picked up the car in NY and drove to Nebraska. Turquoise and white, 1958 Chevy Brookwood 9 pass wagon, 283 power pack. Dad wanted the biggest, most powerful engine he could get. About 2 weeks after he ordered the car, the 348 became available. He griped about his poor timing for years. We had that car for a lot of years. Just seeing a 58 Chevy brings up all kind of warm memories. Dad still has a great big soft spot in his heart for them. Me at three years old (third from left)

Mothers Day 1969, my parents have only been in the house five months. My grandparents came to visit in their 1967 Barracuda, that is me at 6 years ole one the tricycle seen over the car. Until last year my brother still had the 55 Chevy, the 63 Plymouth wagon was traded in for a 72 Coronet wagon. My parents still live there.

I see a potential new avatar for you :)
You happen to have a pic of your dad's soda fountain place btw; love these baby boomer pics.

Here's one more taken in spring of1958. That's me in the hanging out the window. This car belonged to my aunt and uncle, the ones that invited me to Florida.

Was this lower two-tone treatment on the Savoy technically the Sportone option ? Seen catalogs that only related the term to the Plaza.
