Going through my parents pictures...

A few more. My uncles Plymouth and dad's Austin A40

The Vauxhall dad bought to replace the Austin

And a Simca with a flathead 8

A family friend and his 54? Chevy

My first car, in 1964.
It was a 1948 Packard station sedan, (woody station wagon). It had been in the garage of the orignal owner, (little old lady), since 1953 when she got a new Cadillac. It had 53K miles, and I paid $85.00 and had to pay $5.00 more for a used battery.

I wish I had a better picture of it.

My Dad in January 1955, with his hotrod '51 Ford Custom coupe. It had the flathead V8 with a lumpy cam, Smithy's dual glasspacks, and two-tone blue interior. The car was baby blue. He'd been out of the Navy for a few months, and had just bought the car from a dealer buddy in Denver.

My Niece, she had a hand in the restoration.
I no worry about the hood, I took one look at my 70 Dodge truck and said no way.

I'll have to search for some old family car pictures....my Dad had a lot of nice Mopars...mostly slab and fusie BB wagons and old Packard's. Two divorces and 20 years traveling around the world in the Army and most of my pictures are long lost.

This is turning into a Mopars N babes thread and I like it!

Not a family photo, and (sorry) there's no beautiful women. This photo is from the early 80's, I don't know much about the car, it might have been originally used as the coroners wagon. I'm not sure what the solar panel was for.SOLAR WAGON 005.jpgSOLAR WAGON 004.jpg

Thanks to all for the great pics and the stories to go with them. This is awesome. Would be nice if we could have a forum/folder for these kinds of things. It could be called "Memory Lane and the ladies we let sit on our...hoods". LOL

Dang, I had to think for a second........are we talking about the young lady or paint?

Paint would be the the answer.... I think?

My wedding day July 14, 1990. In my 78 T-Bird, pimp mobile. The T-bird I bought from my great Aunt 2 years earlier 10 years old only 20,000 miles, always garaged, never driven in bad weather.
