Going to look at a '67 300 Fast top

I have had 9 '67 Chryslers and I don't see within the pictures any evidence of rear heat or defrost. The 2 heater cores are normal with an AC car, and one hose will jump from one core to the other at the firewall.

The panel/speaker covers over the rear seat is a panel used when you have bucket seats with the drop center rear seat.

The metal perforated package tray is flow through ventilation that exits through the dutchman panel. I believe all '67 C-bodies had this, excluding the Convertibles and wagons of course. The hoses in the trunk are drains for the dutchman vent above.

I can't see from the pictures, but if you have rear defrost there will be a single wide vent in the center of the package tray, behind the speaker cover panel. You will also be able to see the blower motor from inside the trunk ahead of the rear vent pan that you have pictured.

I like the car, if you get it and need any easily shipped pieces, let me know and I can see if I can help you out.

Here's one that I sold several years back that you would have liked... It originally did not have a vinyl top... I'll have to scan some earlier pics. Good luck, I hope you get it.

Excellent info. Thank you. I now stand proudly corrected and a lot smarter!!
Funny. I swear I don't remember that drain pan in my '67. But taht was 40 years ago...

That Bronze fast top is nice. Shame on you for selling it.

Here's a couple for inspiration... I think I prefer the black interior, but....

The welding spots on the right rear quarter look a bit odd to me, did you notice signs of a replacement there ?

I want it. The ZZ1 was painted over with black metallic.

its going to take another $25k minimum so it really is a moot point. The car is unmolested except for the patched pans and it's complete.

I'd definately restore it.

That car is has less rust then jazebelle had a year ago. A good sheet metal fab guy, (like someone who does commercial A/C metal fab), could make the floor and trunk pans as well as the pieces needed for the body, then take it to a body man and then a painter.

I don't see any more then $15K for body, paint, chrome, misc and interior parts. The rest you should be able to handle yourself. A complete mechanical rebuild might bump it up a little.

It's a great project.... looks complete. I'm not to keen on gold.... but thats just MHO. Paint it black, (lose the metallic), add a console & floor shift..... Lots of potential there.

Good luck with it
..

Stan, are you still going to pursue this, or have you lost interest?

The bidding ended at $2000.00.... Reserve was not met

I sent him an email after the auction.
We'll see if anything comes from it. I'm 99% sure it was shilled up by family members.

In my message I said I will match the high bid (fake as I think it was).
So, in answer to your question, I'm offering him two grand and immediate pick up.

I think it's worth 15 hundred tops. But, It's only an hour away and it's driveable so that's worth something considering the thousands that it will need. During a resto you can sneeze 500 dollars away in an eye blink and not even notice it.

No reply from him yet. He's got more money than God and you know how those guys are.

So he's in no hurry to sell unless he gets his asking price.

He and his clan live on about a zillion acres, each with their own little McMansion. He ain't hurting for time, money, or room.

What about the turquoise one you had considered a bit after this first offering ?
