Yea thanks. I really thought it was going to start when I re-set the points.
One POSSIBLE chance is to hold foot on floor (do not pump) and hope that it blows a plug or two dry. Otherwise, it's plug pullin' time.Chances are good the plugs are wet from your efforts to start the car. With a point ignition, the car just won't start. Been there... done this back in the days of points.
Pull the plugs and spin the engine over a couple times to dry the cylinders. Dry out or replace the plugs.
Just pull one plug if you want to check this. If it's wet with gas, then the others are the same.
