Goldie won't start

Yea thanks. I really thought it was going to start when I re-set the points.
 
Yeah, probably fried the coil.

Bad condensers right out of the box, that how it was for me too and then i just converted to electronic ignition and never had an issue anymore.

Chances are good the plugs are wet from your efforts to start the car. With a point ignition, the car just won't start. Been there... done this back in the days of points.

Pull the plugs and spin the engine over a couple times to dry the cylinders. Dry out or replace the plugs.

Just pull one plug if you want to check this. If it's wet with gas, then the others are the same.

One POSSIBLE chance is to hold foot on floor (do not pump) and hope that it blows a plug or two dry. Otherwise, it's plug pullin' time.
 
We have a winner another bad condenser. I replaced the coil too, I think it runs better with it so it will stay. Thanks everyone for the help. I will be able to enjoy the weekend now.:3gears:
