Having a brain fart.....

You seem to be missing the point, the balancer does not slip all the time, it has slipped in the past and now the mark is off. Set no1 piston to tdc and make a mark on the balancer at 0° or tdc. Or just verify that the mark is still aligned with tdc on the engine. Takes 5minutes to check and then you know whats going on with the timing.

Otherwise, just connect the timinglight to no1 and turn the distributor, but that might **** up the motor.

Slipped balancers don't just slip to 180 degrees and stay there. Back to school, sonny....

You said it correct in your opening question "Brain Fart" it seems to be a big one. If you would listen to the advise from everyone and do what is supposed to be done you would have solved this issue by now. If you aren't capable of doing basic troubleshooting such as this you should not be attempting it. FYI I am a licensed mechanic have been for 35plus years.

Funny i figured it out before you did. I hope your 35 plus years tricycle mechanics is working well for you, ma'am. Don't chime in on things you don't understand, ok?

My farts come out my butt. That aside, may I bring up just one tiny picture in case, ummmmm ya know...

Just checking to see if we all have the same coloring book.

Have you checked the no1 piston return spring? That could be broken and change the timing....

Dude, how old are you? 15?
