I bet that before he O-ringed the block and all the other work, "tur-BOOM-nee" was a pretty accurate description of the car.

Yeah you got that right!!. Blown head gaskets were/are a common occurrence with these slant fours especially when turbocharged. As a matter of fact the designer of the slant 6 also designed the 2.2 4 cylinder. I do admit it is a weird little car. I bet I could pop a wheelie in reverse Lol!!
