Loved the story about the car, amazing it looks as good as it does after spending years it a school auto program. Most kids don't care about the cars there and they often get abused. Love the shop also

I will nod in agreement on that point. I have a horror story from my school. In 1975 GM donated a brand new Chevrolet Caprice Classic convertible to my high school. A year later I stopped by the shop to visit and asked where the car had gone. The instructor pointed to a chopped off frame with engine, transmission and F/R suspension. There was nothing left of the body except the firewall, windshield, dash, front floor and front seat. It's right there, was his reply. They were using it as a push car when it was actually running. I think you could almost make out the imprints of my fingers on his throat...
 
I have seen the original youtube video from the previous owner for years and the article also. That car is internet famous to me lol I am also a 70 Newport fan and owner.
