I saw this ad and a discussion that followed. I personally have never seen a 73 Dodge Monaco in any form, from wagon to 2 door. One guy mentioned that there were only about 3,600 2 doors made in 18 years of production. I couldn't find any production numbers of just the Monaco they were always included with the Polara.

I personally really like the '73. Anyone have a photo from a car show of the 2 door? I also read that they had a police set-up/package for the Monaco but it was very rare too.

I love all Monaco's! With any number of doors or even a tailgate. LOL!

Fusey and Formal Monacos are far more rare than Slabs. I love the look of these cars (especialy the wagons with the "groovy" woodgrain treatment) and prefer the rear taillight treatment of the 72 to that of the 73.

I used to have a 4 dr 73 Monaco in the 80's (B5 body and interior with a white top). It was the first car I had that had road wheels and I just loved the look of it. It was just a car then and I drove it in all seasons. Eventually the body rotted off of it and I sold the 440/727 for close to what I paid for the car and scrapped the rest. The only thing I have left of that car are the road wheels.

My numbers show over 6300 two door Monacos for 1973. Not a large number but not small either. You do see very few Monacos these days and even fewer two doors.
They are probably one of the biggest victims of engine donation there was.

How many had 440's?

I don't like the frond end with the flip headlight thingies.

I was doing a lot of looking at the same cars yesterday Zy ;)

that's when I came across the lovely up above

Funny that google chrome has incognito mode. Wonder what that's for?

am I the only one who thinks the front ends look like 66 Toronados?

I knew you would have some sort of info Dave, thanks. Even with that many made you think you would see more of them.
