Thursday June 30th I pulled my last load on my old Transcraft flatbed. I had a 43,000+ lb coil on, nothing special, heard a loud bang thought maybe I had blown a tire but I had no lean and no squished tires in the mirrors so onward, got down the road to deliver and doing a walk around find that the lower frame flange cracked clean across just behind the fifth wheel plate. So moment of silence for the old girl and start shopping for another trailer. After some searching soul, internet, and phone calls I decide I am done with used old trailers and the work involved so, I bit the bullet and bought a brand new 2017 Mac flat with a 70,000# beam or my retirement trailer.

Now I can concentrate on making the tractor better since the trailer should be a maintenance and warranty only.

GORGEOUS trailer. Congrats and many trouble free miles with it.
I guess you ain't buying a twin turbo Lincoln now... :poke:

Is that a 53, btw?

Cool garage. Looks like I could fit three, maybe four cars, in there.
Could also be used to haul some cars over to Carlisle. Just need to be a ramp.

Well, it's been a month and a half. Is it all you hoped for?

Nope 48, and I will use about seven feet right in the center for big singles, my light weight went down by 1000# so I can squeak 49500 on the deck now

Did buy the wife a 2011 Jeep Overland Grand Cherokee, it will tied her over till I can find a couple year old Eco diesel GC

Great looking trailer! I'd say you were lucky that the fifth wheel plate didn't pull apart from the rest of the trailer when that happened. Good luck with the new one.
