I pulled the 383 out of my 66 windsor

the 440 source pick-up tube and 6 quart pan are sitting too far, close to 3/4 inch with the pan gasket...

hope "zero deck" really means zero deck because its pretty close to 0
is that gonna be an issue with close chamber 516's? I'm thinking of using the 0.027 cometic gaskets 4.350 bore

Everything always looks so neat when clean and new! I hope everything lives up to your desires!

Seems like the 4bbl motors were pretty much zero deck, OEM? What is the available of 93-94 Pump Octane fuel where you are and will be driving? Let that be the determining factor in you head gasket choice. Years ago Chrysler Direct Connection advocated lowering the compression ratio enough that normal total spark advance could be use, rather than too much compression and having to retard the spark curve for that reason. Your judgment call.

with the .027 head gasket you will be real close to 10.1. what is your compression height of the after market pistons ? they had to move your pistons up to 0 deck.

1.920 comp h

deck is 9.972
was 9.986
says 0 deck would be 9.965
