What did it cost To rebuild your used motor?

Welcome aboard. If you are serious about selling you need to provide a lot more info. For example why do you say the motor is worth 4K?

Machine work and new parts are not cheap, and the motor runs great.

Everyone on this site is upside down from day one of acquiring a C Body. It's all about passion for these ultra cool land yachts. I'm glad that they go unnoticed for the most part and keeps the prices low. I'm not selling any of my cars anymore so it works out for me and allows me to get parts at very reasonable prices.

Doesnt matter what you put into an engine and use, worth every penny. Its the unknown engine that isnt worth it. The one that was "just rebuilt".... " less than 100 miles" or "over $7000. in receipts" are the ones that concern me.

There are plenty of these big cars running around with great running big block drivetrains and some of them are rock solid and still worth less then 2 grand, tops. Please do keep your car and stick around, you'll find this is a lot of fun!

Also, an engine with $10,000 in receipts is still worth a $1.98 to me. I didn't see it built by anyone I know.
$10,000 in parts and labor + one spun bearing during break-in = $0.00.

Well, I have a 58 ford step side, and 72 duster, that I will not sale. I have a 64 belvedere post car that needs restored and it's 4d parts car(listed in the b body sight). Two 72 chevy long beds I'm fixin up. I traded a very used 97 neon and a 89 chev farm truck(277k) for the sport fury. I live in western Oregon and fall is coming. I have a two car garage, time to pull out the tarps I guess....
