...simple man with a simple tools and some patienceHow on earth did you bring back those dustcaps
And you say your not a metal man Lots of talent there...simple man with a simple tools and some patience
Now I must show The Simple Tools ...thanks guys , lots of fun from a small job here! And you say your not a metal man Lots of talent there
If I would have known earlier, I have a nice K-Member laying around ;) But very nice work on repairing yours!Parting out the stub frame, engine and so on..
Everything was so oily and greasy , thick layer everywhere. Reason for this was broken harmonic balancer , and I think this is from a factory. Next job was damaged "K-beam " repair with 3 mm sheet metal, this time with supporting metal bars. This car really need total repairing everywhere ..
Regards,
Mika

If you're going to decide not to use the dual snorkle air cleaner, let me knowMore parts ready to assembly, rear lights with new bulb holders and wires. Choice of the day: original or snorkel air cleaner and some other parts painted semi-glossy black and some engine parts too. All parts sharp edges grinded, sandblasted , 1-2 coats primer , 2 coats of top coat. Engine parts I used gloss PU paint , color code is NCS S 5030 B50G ( if anybody interested) I added just a bit black and then it was quite close to original color. Front calipers also ready.
Regards,
Mika

Thanks Julian, I just trying to follow your sky high restoration standards, but like I said..I do my best ! About air cleaner, I remember you but don't hold your breath while waiting...If I would have known earlier, I have a nice K-Member laying around ;) But very nice work on repairing yours!
And my respect to all the other parts you've shown. Outstanding work you are doing my your Imperial!
Your work is in no way inferior to my efforts! You do amazing work repairing and enhancing your original parts! Thanks Julian, I just trying to follow your sky high restoration standards, but like I said..I do my best ! About air cleaner, I remember you but don't hold your breath while waiting...
What can I say...Sir!Your work is in no way inferior to my efforts! You do amazing work repairing and enhancing your original parts!
About these parts...I don't want to capture your rubber parts thread ;) So I write it here.
The '69 style isolators are available through ESPO Springs n Things.
The Lower Control Arm bushings, I was able to buy from Rare Parts, Part Number RP15324 and they seem to still be available.
The Torsion Bar Support Isolators are not reproduced, but can be revulcanized with new Rubber. That's what I did. Even though these are too soft in combination with the not clocked, thicker new torsion bars from FirmFeel... So I probably have to delete them on my car.
And the front and rear Bump Stops are available as well
As as stated before, some things are just fun and interesting to do yourself, I know that! ;)
Nice work!
