I'm not a metal man but...

Noxudol spraying done! Two medium heavy coats all over except cabin floors ones. It takes almost 55 liters!!! Sounds like it is very effective stuff, if you tap panel it sounds like old wooden toolbox filled with wool sox!!
Surface is little rough but it was very difficult to spray even layer, but I think that surface is smoother than from a factory :p!
Just little bit sanding before final PU topcoat , trying to spray it this weekend...
Have a nice weekend everyone,
Regards
Mika

What color is the top coat going to be?

Because I really don't know what will be the final body color, this is why I ended basic black (semi mat) all over and underside will have another layer in semi gloss dark gray metallic. Yes I know, that's not a original style but I'm not a fan of original body color...

Painted! Metallic dark gray over black and it looks quite nice,so I decided paint trunk area same way.
Color is almost like some kind a "gun metal"!
...so question is: what to do next???

Work continues, now working on front fenders. Some old dents needs attention. There was area covered with lead and bondo, after removing fillers and repairing this area I realized that metal is grinded to very thin by previous repair man so that area needs a patch . Small dents here are there now repaired.

Rear valance needed also some work, there was hit probably same time when rear bumper got one.
The valance is very thick sheet metal and it was twisted and bendy so it needed serious hammering but after a few hours it fits just fine with NOS bumper. Bumper is from @detmatt (..thanks again!) and what can you expect when you get transportation box from a carpenter...of course it's well made and with
rounded edges and corners!!
Front inner fenders are ready for Noxudol. Plastic parts was tricky ones, they were very "oily" but after many washing cycles with grease remover and after that painting with special primer they are ready.

Whatcha going to do with that box?

Now repairing hood hinges, like all other hinges (door, trunk lid..) they really need some love.
First disassembly into parts , then some reinforcement teeth welded in place , some filing, new custom made " hinge pins" and now they are ready to sandblasting, zinc plating and final paint.
First pic is the starting point..
Hope they will survive next 50 years!
