It´s time for the Slab picture thread

I haven't been on for a while and don't think I posted, so here's my Chrysler... and one of my greatest treasures, my oldest Grand Daughter.

@bigandtall really nice car!
I am new to Chryslers, but i assume this is an 68?
I have an 68 New Yorker but the tail light section is different than on your car?
So i am just curious to know more about this, i am trying to learn as much as i can about these cars

Yes, it is a 1968. Here is a better picture of the rear tail lights. I'm not an expert so I'm not sure if this taillight panel is just for a Newport, or even a Newport Custom. Maybe someone will chime in that knows better.

Each model in '68 had different front clips and different tail light treatments. This is my '68 300.

Thank you for sharing your pictures. I have named the car Harry, in his memory. As best as I can figure right now, Harry passed away in 2017. The car was sold at the Red Deer Electric Garage auction in the spring of 2018 to a dealer out of Edmonton. I bought the car in July of 2019, and now Harry is back in the Calgary area (which I think is appropriate).

Edit: I think I should also mention that Harry was the original owner, having bought it new in Calgary in 1965.

This car was sold in the EG Edmonton sale for about $9100.

I suspect the person I bought the car from is the person who purchased it at the EG auction. I wish I had got it for $9100, but I didn't pay too much more than that and I don't begrudge a dealer from making a bit of a profit.

Here you go. Early 68 with leftover 67 steering wheel and window cranks. Only options, AC and Posi. AC ice cold. Beautiful car, I've put 45,000 miles on it since I bought it in 2006

Dan
