It´s time for the Slab picture thread

Thank you for sharing your pictures. I have named the car Harry, in his memory. As best as I can figure right now, Harry passed away in 2017. The car was sold at the Red Deer Electric Garage auction in the spring of 2018 to a dealer out of Edmonton. I bought the car in July of 2019, and now Harry is back in the Calgary area (which I think is appropriate).

Edit: I think I should also mention that Harry was the original owner, having bought it new in Calgary in 1965.

I knew I had another one. This was in Vernon in 2004. Hard to see, but that is Harry sitting at the back of the car.

My project. Barn find '66 Fury III VIP. Fender tag says it had a 318 poly when new. Had no engine when I got it, but came with a 383/727.

66 Windsor. I call it the thousand dollar trim holder. I bought it without seeing it. Thougjt I was dealing with a upfront kinda guy. He had a couple of strategic pictures. The car is rotten underneath.
It was quite a car in its day.
I have lots of parts for when I find i a better one.

My '65 Sport Fury parked where the OBI used to stand... for those non-Long Islanders... The Oak Beach Inn... party central for the 60's through the early 90's.

Still remember the day we picked this car up at Jefferson assembly.
Older brother wanted to drive it home so badly. Dad made him drive the old car home. His 64 Newport.

Thanks fellas. I went the easy route and bought it this way. Was well taken care of, which I will continue. Funny thing is that the previous owner knew nothing bout cars. He just loved this one. It was professionally restored, not sure when, but it was. Even the heater box has all new pipes. It needs a few things which I'll do, but a little at a time. I'm really happy to own it... I looked for ten years for this year, style, color, engine size and interior. I'm very happy she found me!! Lol. See you on the roads and shows.

Can we see the interior?

Here is another picture of my 68 Sport Fury taken a month ago. Some friends of mine and I took our cars up to Lake Tahoe for a long weekend, but this picture was actually taken at Silver Lake near Kirkwood as we began the trip home on Sunday, 09/15. As you can see it was a truly beautiful day. I know a lot of guys back east and up north are preparing to put their cars away for the winter, or already have. Out here on the left coast we are lucky that we don't have to do that. We do get what we call winter, but the truth is we really only have 2 seasons here in central and southern California: summer, which runs from May through October, and spring, which runs from November through April. Of course they do get real winter up in the Sierra Nevada, but down in the valley where I live that just means gorgeous views of the snow-capped mountains when I look to the east and awesome waterfalls in the spring. Perfect!

Looks like a great time. I'm getting anxious to get mine back from body and paint work so I can start driving it again.
