What's the story on the red one? Emblem bumper so it's an early car. Too bad about the black interior, but still... enlighten us.

it's a '70.......with soem mmonaco highlighting. I'd buy both if I could afford it.

so you expect me to do what? Keep the title on a car thAT IS NOT MINE? No $$ has changed hands yet, so it is not my car. The white one is! Not sure why he would send the title and BOS w/o the $$, but he says he did.
The red car is a polara that was hit in the front, then restored. 383-2 car, red/wht top and blk bucket interior. Everythnig from the firewall forward was repl including the stub frame, which was repl using the longer limbed one from a wagon or a '71 or something, it has the rubber isolators and provides better ride quality. The car also sports a built 440 est to have 425 horse, 3.23 sure grip. the colors of the top, body and int are origiNal. When it was being rebuilt the owner decided to make it look liek a monaco so he installed the monaco grillle, tl extensions, tail lights and a medallion bumper which is not original to this car, it is not a early car, it's mid-year. great car but the reason the deal won't be completed is too complex to discuss.

Stan, this car was totally replaced from the firewall forward, I would have no concerns whatsoever on it. And I think the other polara guy on this board will agree!

Yeah but the white one is mostly original with good documentation.

I can understand the decision. The red one looks really good and I like the Monaco look. But it will always be a bit of a mongrel car no matter how well it was done. To some, having something exactly original is really important. I am normally one of those types, so why this red "Monara" appeals to me is tough to say.

no, the decision has nothing to do with the fact the red car is a mongrel car......and it appeals to you for the same reason it appeals to me probably - because it's a gorgeous car, done correctly.
