It's Over

I think I've finally realized his issue and maybe he just can't help himself as a twelve year old boy...

I actually like the guy & he has a lot to contribute but his desire for negative attention is super annoying. If he would just........

:laughing4:

Isn't sB from Germany? And he wants Americans to repent? I happen to be of German descent so it's not a matter of judging, simply a matter of just shut the **** up.

I believe he's in Finland.

i'll be happy to give Greg the info if he thinks he wants to buy the car.......

It really is a beautiful car. I really like it, and the price is not out of line nor out of reach. But, it won't fit in my garage! I just measured today. At 220" overall length, it would not let the door close. So, so much for this dream. For now at least. Thanks Mark.

The red car is an early september build car, that car would have probably not had the medallion bumper but could have, it was on the line, and I mean on the line.

The red polara was owner built, meaning, the builder was the owner for 8 years, he does this for a living and has great hands. The car won awards wherever it went and was in a couple of magazines. A solid great driver built right.

Marks car is the right car for Mark, an original 440 bucket seat car and a car he cant possibly obsessive over in its current state.

Drive it Mark, drive the balls out of it and enjoy every minute of it.

Can someone explain what the medallion thingie is all about to me? Need some schooling today for fulfillment.

Medallion bumper .............

A problem the Polara/ Monaco Yahoo group worked on for years that no one else seemed to notice or care much about. We couldnt get an answer so we figured it out ourselves.

The medallion bumper theory, all early cars got them and the "date" is the end of August. Any car that has a Fratzog on the bumper from September on , it was replaced. OBVIOUSLY this isnt only on convertibles but four doors and two doors as well but there havent been enough of those turn up that close to the line to tell.

Our very own Fratzog Fred is a big contributor to the theory and ANYTHING that you read about the theory, the credit goes to that board.

Just like the mid year dash change........we nailed that one down too.

All this polara talk on here lately has me thinking about the possible next toy! Already have a tiny convert bug bite after looking at the '70 fury convert last year...

Hope all is well Dave, and your doing good!

Was the medallion bumper a one year only or all of them from September til the end of production in 1973?

Thanks Dave, good to know about that "Monara" convertible. I still really like it.

Glad to see you're back. Missed your nuggets of wisdom & sanity. Was a bit concerned. How are you doing?

Why was it discontinued? Cost or it wasn't cosmetically appealing?

'70 was a transitional year across the board for Mopar although I don't know much about the A bodies. E, B bodies had a lot of one year only parts on them and most were one year only designs. Not to mention changes to parts mid year to meet changing EPA and safety standards.

I read that there were challenges in the manufacturing process. Not sure how hard it was to attach an emblem, so maybe it was a cost-cutting thing.

We were thinking a manufacturing problem, perhaps stamping and/or chroming. The world will never know

Then they also had to bolt on all those little medallion Fratzogs on those bumpers

There was That too!
