Just drove this one home. 78 New Yorker Brougham. 2dr with 45k miles. 440 4 barrel. She needs a work, paint is oxidized window motors don't work. Other than that she's ready to drive any were.
Yeah, I am going to try and bring the paint back. Want to keep her close to original. The guy I bought her from had a set of new olds stock skirts and the mounting hard ware in the trunk he just hadn't had time to put them on yet.Welcome and it looks great. Don't underestimate professional buffing. It is cheaper than a complete paint job. If you are wondering what it would look like with fender skirts, here is my car.

Hadn't seen it on this site at least not recently. It had been on Facebook for a few weeks then he dropped the price fron $7500 to $5900 and I knew I had to go look at it. I couldn't leave her there for that price. I thought my 69 was in good shape when I got but this one is damn near perfect.Tripple Burgundy, manual AC, 45,000 miles
Dammit, awesome find.
Did we see this one pass through here one time ?
I'll get a pic of the fender tag tomorrow, but it doesn't have any mounting hardware for skirts under the fender.Nice car. So, it was ordered from the factory without fender skirts?, there's a video of another '78 New Yorker posted earlier without them as well.

Yep, just found this on the online Imperial club:in 78 skirts were optional unless you had a Salon, then they were a mandatory option
