You're damn right. This is why I'm so damn good at finding obscure parts for even common cars like a Duster. I seem to break all the **** that's not repopped.

For what little its worth... a good soaking in ATF and a 24 hour wait is the best penetrating oil IMO. Also start with an 1/8th turn tighter to break the nut loose...then loosen. Dave has a good point, a skillful torch can just cut the nut off... which should be easier to replace. I have done lots of work without torches as the service station franchises I worked at in PGH disallowed them in the lease. Without a torch you could just split the nut if you have a big enough splitter, or a wiz-wheel to cut it.

(They look like B-body shackles, though. Both side plates are straight. At least in Fusies there's supposed to be a twist on the other side plate. Anyway, I suppose the guys at Firm Feel know what they're doing.)

Just ordered the springs, u bolts, and isolaters from ESPO.
OUCH! $$! $$!

Let me know if you're not 100% sure which side of the shackles go up. Makes about a 1-2" difference in ride height so you don't want to get it wrong.
