Leon's Junk Yard Culpepper, Virginia

That big white rectangle in the bottom right is the shop office. Most of the Mopar's are all the way to the top left of the 100 acres. It's also a gigantic tick farm too! I asked if he ever gets any new Mopar classics in.....hey said never.... all he gets now is junked imports. If I was interested in Mitsubishi's that he gets those in every day.

Cool pictures Bob, looks like it would give a day at the zoo a run for it's money.

Cool Google Earth picture Stan. How do you save the pictures?

I was looking at some real estate with a Bing program, and it has a pretty neat "Bird's eye view" also, but the resolution was not as good as Google Earth... at least at the locations where I was looking.

Thanks!

LOL! I had to check myself for ticks. It was plenty warm enough for snakes too but I didn't see any....

A lot of overgrowth, I had to hack my way in to get close to every formal. A lot of trees down, thorn covered vines growing and wrapped around everything.

I still had a very nice day there!

Went here yesterday and found a fan shroud for my '72 Fury. I hadn't been to Leon's for almost 30 years but it's still like I remember it. It's like an art museum for car lovers. Have to be fit and up for the challenge though to get parts....apparently someone kicked the bucket wandering around the yard.

Here are some recent pics of what's there.

Any 71 Chrysler 300's in there or basically any fuselage 300's? How about 68-72 Mercury cyclones or fastback Torino's?

We used to have places like this in PA. Pretty much all gone now. Crushed out. Yards big as 100- 125 acres of old cars. Some were mountains.

Honestly guys....I probably saw less than a third of the yard and I was focused on looking for Fury's. I didn't see any E bodies....I would have taken pictures if I did. I passed through the Ford area and saw a lot of Galaxies and Fairlane's (4 door models)...and a whole lot of 2nd generation Mustangs but didn't notice any Cyclones or Torino's. However even though the cars are arranged somewhat by make, sometimes you stumble upon a random Chrysler or Dodge sitting with the Pontiac's and Oldsmobile's. It's a genuine treasure hunt. The guy running the place (I think he's Leon Jr) would probably know so it might be worth a call to him if you are looking for something specific.

Thank you appreciate it. Will give him a call.
