Lets Play A Game: Last Of The Convertibles

With this white Newport 'vert in Canada, I now have a list of 49 (Updated Jan. 3, 2025: it could be 50, assuming the 6-door limo from AZ has parts of a 1970 'vert) L-code 1970 Chrysler convertibles (all of them Newports, of course). Here it is for records:

Thanks to @70 Sport Suburban and @71Polara383 we have DL27L0D148934 -- a 1970 Polara 'vert currently for sale as a parts car in MI. Thanks also to @detmatt for alerting FCBO members to the car, and for posting pics of this poor ragtop here.

The SBD of this 1970 Polara 'vert was October 31, 1969 -- the same as that of Regina, my FQ3 Polara 'vert.

From the FB ad, we learn that "It's in some woods in Pinckney MI. I got it in a deal with some another car. This is one of 842 convertibles made in 1970. This one is pretty much junk. The rear-end is broke lose the trunk floor is separated from the quarters. It's been sitting for more than 30 years the way it is."

I've been organizing my old ebay screen shots over the holiday so that I can make a clean backup copy. They're on an old Windows XP machine that's probably on borrowed time these days, so it was time to get it done.

I don't have any info on most of the cars, but they should still be around as they are all in nice shape. They are all pretty distinct cars, so I wouldn't be surprised if people may have spotted them at shows.

The black '70 300 appears to be a U code car, and sold for strong money for 2007.

Correct. I believe that this is CM27U0C122746 which is now in Denmark as per @fc7_plumcrazy

Thanks to @Samplingman and @sevnt300 for posting the VIN and tag of a DR8 300 'vert that @sevnt300 owned for many years before selling it. CM27T0C165451 was last seen in Colorado several years ago. The photos with @Samplingman and his better half date back to the nineties, the last photo is the last known one of the car:

@sevnt300 -- is this bronze 300 'vert your car, too? If so, could you possibly post the fender tag and tell us about the car's history?

@straightjob You're car has an SPD (scheduled production date) of A13, October 13th 1969.

Can you post a picture of the drivers door sticker? That would tell us when the car came off the assembly line and what the actual production date ended.

Great looking car !!

Awesome! It does appear that CM27T0C142447 was on time during the build process. No delays in her birth.
