I just replaced my vacuum switch on the heater/A/C control box and all of a sudden my instrument panel lights and the overhead light strip that shines on the gauges aren’t lighting up. The vacuum had to be replaced because it had physically broken but prior to that I never had any electrical issues.

I checked all fuses and none were blown. Where should I start troubleshooting or does this sound like it’s a short?

Check the instrument panel plug to see if you knocked it loose. The check to be sure the cluster dimmer has not gotten bumped and turned off. You probably do not have a short or a fuse would be blown.
