I have been prowling this site for a few weeks now and finally decided to post. I love reading everyones stories and seeing some great photos of C bodies. I look forward to learning endless info from everyone on here. I am new to C bodies but not new to cars. I have this strange obsession with things that have two or four wheels which i am sure most of us share! now to the 65..Lucky for me I have an awesome Father-in-law that wanted to lighten his load. This Polara was originally bought by his father in May of 1965 in East Hartford, CT. He acquired it in 2003, after his Father passed. Unfortunately life has its challenges and my dad wasn't able to really care for the Polara as he wanted. Under his ownership it has essentially sat in the garage untouched. This badboy is all original. I have the build sheet, bill of sale and original title. oh and the postage the title came in!haha!! The master cylinder does have to be replaced. After doing some reading, it looks like a dual cylinder is the way to go? any thoughts? I also have some rust popping through the rear bumper. Has anyone done so? I know how fortunate I am to have such a beautiful piece of art. We look forward to weekend trips and car shows come next year!

Forgot to mention I also have the window sticker! According to the window sticker a couple add ons are the three spoke steering wheel, hubcaps, electric clock, bumper guards front and rear and backup lights. It cracks me up to see an $89 destination charge. Out the door the Polara was $2908.50. $300 below sticker.

Sorry for the upside down pic, i couldnt figure out how to rotate it!!! but you can see how the seat has a layer of dust!! She was started every other week just keep things lubricated but not run on the road. I have more pics and will post shortly.

Awesome color. One of the first things you should do is check the age of the tires. I know from personal experience. Two weeks ago I had a couple of blowouts on tires that were 10 years old. I was naive in thinking that because I had personally put those tires on and had only driven a few thousand miles on them and because they were on a garaged car that they were in fine condition.

I've seen that tire issue happen when tires are old but appear to be in good condition.I think it's a combination of them being overinflated/underinflated and having a heavy load on them. The rubber tends to separate from the tire like it was being peeled right off.I had this happen with a pair of tires on a tow dolly I used to have.Luckily I was close to a Pep Boys at the time and had the tires replaced. Also make sure you use the correct load and speed rated tire for the car. Many upgrade to 15" for better tire selection, which was optional on most Mopars at the time.

It took awhile but I finally realized why that shade of green seemed familiar.
The old AT&T Green.
