Anytime you are wanting an accurate match to a factory color doing a spray out is necessary. In this picture the lighter color is how the standard formula Came out. Way too light and too gold. After adding some black and dark green and 2 more spray outs we got it right.

Steve, it's a PPG formula. I usually start with them and if we can't get a match I'll try another brand. My next choice usually is Dupont's (now axalta) chromabase but that's being discontinued in favor of water-based. Luckily in this case it worked out.
I have dealt with TCP Global quite a few times and have been happy with them. However I haven't had them mix me any colors. I have a 40 year relationship with my local paint shop and since I insist on doing spray outs that would be difficult to do long distance. Here they'll mix me up 2 OZ's I'll run home do a spray out and if it's good they mix me the rest , if not they tint some more.I have thought from what i have read that TCP Global had the best potential for matching the fine metallics of the past when most companies now use the more shiny "in your face" metallics used in more modern formulas today? At least, when I called TCP Global about this issue, they claimed they are one of the few companies that still have access to those fine metallics? My body/paint guy brought this up many years ago now and that is why I looked into the issue in the past in some depth. That has been one of the reasons I decided to use their paint and I am aware that you have used their products in the past as well.
Just soaking up some sun!So - Medina is in AZ, then, for some special attention?
