400's make plenty of power. Even back in the day they were only 10 hp less than a 440. Bore is a bigger than a 440. Stroker crank and rods and you'll smoke any 440.
Do you think that's an oil leak under there?
The Motor wheel cap I'm aware of. My only disagreement with you on this is that the AMC caps were more narrow at the end than the Mopar/ Wotor wheel caps and not the same. The AMC cap on the dome has a ridge that the Mopar one does not, and makes identification easy even from a distance.Motor Wheel made the road wheel center caps for our Mopars and they also made their own very similar aftermarket version with a red metal band around the serrated cap that said "Motor Wheel Multi-Style". The identical aftermarket Motor Wheel cap was also used by AMC with a similar red metal band around the serrated cap that said "American Motors". Sometimes, folks take out the red metal band entirely and hope to pass that cap as a Mopar cap, as in the case of this wagon. Road wheels were not options on wagons since they were not quite wide enough for that application, which is known for its tail wag as it is due to the weight in the back and the relatively short wheel base for such a long vehicle. That dual function tail gate wasn't light and adding dual a/c didn't help.
I thought that too, but I think it's water running down the lot and puddling under the car. You can see two narrow streams to the left of the car in the other photo, maybe from someone draining a cooler.Do you think that's an oil leak under there?
