Moparfest Pics

I'm pretty sure that any EDL is accepted to get back in the USA.

As of next year, flying domestically might be a problem though. I know there are a few states that the EDL won't work for that after 1 January, but I've never heard that the border is going to be a problem.

But... A few years ago, we started having to buy passports for our employees as it was the only ironclad ID to get into businesses that did government contracts. I took it as a sign of things to come and pretty soon, a drivers license and birth certificate aren't going to mean squat for anything. Nobody questions a passport.
Minnesota, Washington, Michigan, New York, Vermont are the recognized EDLs. Jersey has been doing it for 6 years, we don't count.

So........passport it is

He was there with a 63 beige Polara w/413 and for sale sign in the window of course.
He came on Sunday with Mike in his white Cordoba. Peter has had a set back medically. If you recall how animated he can be he just sat in his chair and said very little. Very out of character. The issue that caused him to lose his licence is being addressed and he is hopeful of getting it back in the near future. He did mention about having his mother in law living with them. That could subdue anyone LOL.

Peter made Carlisle last year if you recall.

Once you get a new license. They just started the program, it's newness is why it's going to be accepted. I think the new D/L's will be chipped.

So I can just use my license and go back and forth, being a Minnesota resident?
I'd carry a birth certificate just in case, but you should be good.... and remember, the problem isn't getting into Canada as much as it's getting back into the states.

In reading the site yes, by land travel only. The license has to be of the newer variety which has a chip or bar code on it

But what's the big deal about getting a passport ? I remember this issue coming up each year around the Mopar Fest date.

They don't make it easy, although it's a lot easier than it used to be.

It's the cost ($165 for passport, card, application) and the nonsense of the application. Up until recently, you even had to provide a photo yourself. At least now, the Post Master can take the picture. Then it's a month to 2 months to get it.

Speaking for most Americans, we don't like dealing with the bureaucracy and having deal with government employees on any level....

We still have to provide our own pics and the proceedings are about the same, maybe a bit cheaper and a bit quicker but over in Europe you can take a crosscountry trip through three countries, while you'd still be in Texas. So we're more used to it it seems.

A 6BBL Sport Fury at a car show! Things are changing!!!

That is Dave's car from London ON, it was in the special display building in Carlisle 2016 behind my wagon. That is one of my bucket list cars for sure!

I figured that was yours Ross. Love your wagon.

Thanks for the kind words!!

I heard there were 1700+ Mopars at the show each day. I preregistered on the last day you could preregister on July 1st and was number 1094. So another 600 cars showed up each day. If you preregister you have a chance to win the car on Sunday and $5000 Mopar Money on Saturday.

Note that the driving shot of my wagon shows all windows up - because my wife and I were enjoying the meat-locker dual AC!!

And I just realize I completely forgot to check out the special display inside the building! D'oh!!!
