My '66 Fury III

Gret. I'm looking forward to it and I'm thinking I'm gonna buy that ball joint tool even though I don't need it at the moment and may never need it.

Not much progress, waiting for parts, life getting in the way....anyway...

Managed to work on A arms, bushings are pressed, 1 gusset welded on. On to the next step...

Finally found some time to work on the car. Bushings are in, gussets welded in once drums are dry from painting, start putting all back together. I made a bushing press tool from 1 1/2 pipe, worked out well.

Feel like a big hurdle cleared today. Front suspension is pretty much installed. Felt good getting the lower control arms & torsion bars back in. Started sanding engine bay, should have motor/tranny back in soon...taking the rest of the weekend off. Leaving for Houston tomorrow for some R & R....going to see Def Leppard & KISS tomorrow night.

Congratulations on what I know is a true ball buster job.
My next front end job, unfortunately, I'm going to have to farm out... :sad10:

Tell ya what Stan, since you have been a beckon of encouragement, and I now have the tools & experience at this, you get your biotch over here, we'll git 'r dun, then sit on the back porch and talk some chat...that's an open ended offer. :eek:ccasion14:

AWESOME.
You have no idea how i appreciate that!
Thank you!

I love your updates .. you are really moving

Looking forward to hear how the suspension upgrades/reinforcments feel compared to other C bodies you have driven

After 3+ weeks of off & on tedious sanding, finally got some color on engine bay. Just need to clean and paint frame and motor & tranny will go back in....man, been way too long since I got to cruise.......

Inching closer to getting drivetrain in, maybe this weekend. Cleaned up wiring harness and added new connectors, wiper motor cleaned/installed, splash guards in.

what did you use on the light buckets? they look like a new stamping.

Damn, I don't know why this hasn't been popping up under Unread Threads.
Anyway,
Amazing progress and it's coming out beyond merely beautiful.
Nice, nice, work.

Thanks Stan....had an unfortunate accident right after those pics were taken. One of the pulleys on lift broke so car is stuck where it is till I can get parts to fix it. Am able to get tranny lines and linkage hooked up, using ladder to run wires...damn the luck....:BangHead:
