Here is Detroits problem.
Since 2010 8 metro Detriot area public officials have been sent to prison or jail. These include a mayor, city council members & judges.
On top of that; 12 Detroit Public School principals have been indicted for embezzlement, kickbacks or whatever.
Like your trip to Dayton the neighborhoods are unrecognizable. We drove the folks through their old ‘hood back around 2008. Only one of the houses they lived in was still standing tall as one of two occupied homes on the block. Everything else was abandoned or dozed. Dad was pleased to see the “German Church”, as he called it, still occupied and in good shape. Their first date was at this church in 1942 where Dad played the organ.

Oh yeah!
And all the officials imprisoned or jailed have a “D” before their name.
Imagine this city were it not for Illitch, Gilbert, Carmanos, Penske etc.

I'll he there next month visiting friends. Iirc Tarrant and Collin counties have a higher percentage of Hispanics than any other race.

Bingo. Most kids' upbringing gets contracted out right after maternity leave ends. In a lucky minority of cases there is home school and/or the grandparents are involved in day care but once they get into the education system it is a leftist ideological cesspool. Most teachers who graduate from Humanities or Social Science programs are brainwashed and have adopted neo-marxist/postmodernist dogma. The result in the classroom is that the foundation of western Renaissance culture based on sovereignty of the individual is denigrated in favour of collective ideals. This same ideological bias extends also into the deep state. The path we are on is disastrous as evidenced by not a single example of a successful socialist system ever anywhere. Get involved before it is too late.
