My Hurst project

Good morning everyone ,
Thought I'd post a few pics of my 300 Hurst project .
It's going really slow , but I am making progress .
Got the subframe stripped yesterday so I can get everything put on the new one . Thanks to @71Polara383 for hooking me up with a good one . It pulled apart trying to take the eccentric bolts out of the upper control arms . Got the dash out also so I can start doing something there . Also got the motor and transmission back a couple of weeks ago and is ready to go . This car is rougher than I thought it was when I bought it at auction a few years ago , but will be nice again some day .

My favorite C body. The closest I came was a 71 300 2dr that was a rust bucket but man it was fun to drive.

Looking at the engine ready to rumble is good incentive to keep going.

Thanks , I always wanted a Fury GT or a Hurst . There weren't any available when I got this one . I honestly didn't think I would get this one .
I made one final bid at the auction and the guy bidding against me dropped out .

Wow, you're going all the way. Cool. I did mine the amateur backyard mechanic way fixing stuff without tearing it down.... and on a shoestring budget. I got it on Ebay with winning bid of $1000 in 2003. A few things still aren't perfect and I'm kind of still working on it, oh well.

That Dutch panel fit is interesting. I have to dig mine out, but I could swear the ‘73 panel is a perfect fit for my ‘70 300 coupe. What car is that off of?

Is the filler panel the same? I was under the impression '69-'71 is the same & '72-'73 are different..

The panel is out of a 72 Newport that was clean . I thought 69-73 2 door hardtops were all the same . I found out they aren't so the fabrication begins .

Thank you ! I definitely will . Power seat bases are done and working like new . I've got 1 function on one of the switches fighting me .

Hi everyone , both I and the body guy are making some progress on the 300 .
Subframe is done and ready to go in . Put all new Moog suspension parts in except for ball joints . Uppers are TRW and I got NOS lowers from Murray Park . Seat bases are done . Had to scour salvage yards for replacement gears in a couple of the transmissions . I got patch panel pieces for the dog leg area from @SGT FURY , the body man is working on that . Doors and fenders are almost ready . The rear filler panel is still a long way off . I can turn my attention to the dash now . That's about all for now . I'll post more when the time comes .
